Hexaware Hackathon 2018

• To promote Hexaware with local Universities
• To identify talent in the State of Coahuila

The Hexaware Hackathon will be a 2 days event, where:

• Saturday June 8th: The participants will be able to work on the creation of their product from 8:00 to 22:00
• Sunday June 9th: The participants will have 15 minutes to present the product they created

• Innovation and originality (35%). Degree to which the proposal represents an unique and authentic contribution or if it significantly improves an existing one.
  • The proposal is new/unique/authentic/improves an existing application
  • The proposal is creative to solve the identified need
• UX (20%). Degree in which aesthetics invites to use the application
  • The design (Logo, colors, graphics, etc.) go according to the idea of the project
  • The design of the application is attractive
• Functionality of the prototype (25%). Degree to which the application generates value for the user
• The application meets the purpose for which it was created
• The application generates a satisfactory experience for the end user
• The application meets acceptable criteria or functionality and usability
• Fulfillment of needs (20%). Degree to which the application meets the needs given for the contest
• The application meets all needs
• The application exceeds the needs

• Copy of existing applications or digital solutions in the market
• Inappropriate content
• Discovery of the use of intellectual property of a third party without prior authorization
• Detection of special support by a company or government entity

• The Organizing Committee of the Hackathon is committed to protecting, and taking care of all confidentiality with respect to all participating projects

• The Organizing Committee of the Hackathon does not endorse that it commercializes any application that contains intellectual property that has not been made by the participants

• The decision of the judges is non-appealable, so the participants are committed to respect it
• The programming content is the responsibility of the participants all , as well as use of photographs, sounds, images, graphics and texts
• Ethic Codes (To be defined, copying other teams proposals)
• Intellectual property of the applications will be given to Hexaware, however the credit with be given to the author(s)
• In the event of a tie, the team whose form has been registered first will be the winner. This will be determined by the time of (depends on how the register was made)

1. Group registration. Participants can register and jointly submit a single form to the contest. For the above, it will be enough for one of the members of a group to register for the Contest, on behalf everyone. However, it is understood that participants who register jointly know and accept the professional and/or demographic requirements of the respective category, as previously described. Likewise, they accept and acknowledge that the prizes are designated for an enrollment and project, and not for each participant, and that any prize awarded to the creators of a particular project must be distributed among their collaborators as they deem convenient.

3. How to participate. Those interested in participating in the Contest may register themselves through "To define if a web form will be used or by email". The registration of participants must be done during the established deadline and must comply with the requirements established. Participants must provide all the required information in the registration form in a precise and clear manner. Entries with incomplete information will be automatically disqualified. Enrollments must meet the registration requirements detailed below

5. General Conditions. If due to force majeure or for any other reason the Contest cannot be carried out as planned, the Organizer may, in its sole discretion, cancel any suspicious registration and/or (a) cancel the Contest (or any part of the Contest); (b) modify the Contest or suspend it and then reinstate it in a manner that best meets the spirit of these rules; (c) designate the Contest Prize among the eligible, non-suspect participants, whose registration was received at the time of mishap, in accordance with the winner selection process. The Organizer is not responsible for: lost, incomplete, damaged, stolen, misdirected, inaccessible or illegible entries; telephone transmission problems, networks, server or any connection lost, interrupted or unavailable; or other problems of operation of any time, be they human, mechanical, electronic or any kind. Failure by the Organizer to enforce any of these rules will not constitute a waiver of those provisions. Any attempt by a participant or any other individual or entity to deliberately sabotage the legitimate operation of the Contest may result in a civil or criminal violation and, if it occurs, the Organizer reserves the right to pursue it and seek the compensation for damages and/or damages caused by it. The Organizer reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any participant who finds it attempting to sabotage or obstruct the registration process and/or the legitimate operation of the Contest, violates these Rules, or has acted in an anticompetitive or disruptive manner, or with the intention of disturbing, abusing, threatening or harassing any person or entity.
6. Nature of the relationship. Each participant accepts that many ideas could be competitive, similar or identical to the material presented by other participants in this Contest and/or any other topic, idea, format or relative material. Each participant also accepts and acknowledges that there will be no compensation for the creation of independent material that is similar, by the Organizer or any of its members, and that there will be no additional consideration for the product registered for the Contest or for the ideas contained in this one, more than, in its case, the prizes referred to in these Rules. The participants accept and acknowledge that the Organizer will not be entitled to any intellectual property rights over the works entered in the Contest. Each participant accepts and acknowledges that the Organizer and its members do not now have, or will have in the future, any obligation or liability, direct or indirect, culpable, intentional or of any kind, regarding the transgression or protection of intellectual property rights regarding the material contained in the registered project, since the Organizer will only have a license for use with respect to the materials registered for the purpose of divulging the Contest.
